2018 edition of the Summer Italian Intensive Course for College Credit. Montclair University

We are still accepting applications for the 2018 edition of the Summer Italian Intensive Course for College Credit offered to high school students of the Tri-State area at Montclair State University (July 23-Aug. 9). More info in the FLYER below.


As part of this dynamic college prep course, students can tour unique Italian art spaces (Magazzino) and companies (Scavolini, Eataly) in the New York area; learn from guest speakers on Italian Design, Montclair architecture influenced by Italian styles, and the Made in Italy business; and gain new skills in subtitling and translation. See WEBSITE for more details.

Juniors, rising seniors and incoming first-year college students' intermediate Italian skills will be consolidated, putting them on their way to an advanced level - including AP classes and the AP exam - and Italian at the college level.

The course is offered through the Italian Program (MLL), Summer Session, and Early College at MSU, in association with a consortium of NJ high schools and with the support of the Inserra Chair Endowment at MSU and IACE in NYC. It receives funding for scholarships from, among others, the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission.
