ENGAGING AND PREPARING STUDENTS
BEGINNING WITH ITALIAN LEVEL 1 TO LEVEL 4/AP®Dates: November 1 & 15, 2014Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
The American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI) in collaboration with Fondazione Italia presents a two session webinar to provide teachers of Italian of all levels with strategies and activities to enhance the classroom experience. Participants will discuss best practices, the use of authentic materials, and content based learning over four levels based on the six AP® themes. Participants will be provided with handouts in advance to be used during the webinar sessions. Participants will also be given an assignment to complete between sessions that will be presented at the start of the second session. Vertical lesson planning will be discussed to include the AP® themes, authentic and cultural resources, and building communication and comprehension beginning with Level 1 to Level 4/AP®.Presenter: Lyn Scolaro, Italian Teacher Prospect High School & AATI-Midwest Co-President
