The Roundtable features an opening colloquium given by Dr. Lourdes Ortega in collaboration with the English Applied Linguistics Speaker Series, Keynote and Plenary addresses from Dr. Heidi Byrnes (Georgetown University) and Dr. Kara McBride (World Learning), 24 presentations on a variety of topics within SLA given by graduate students and faculty representing not only the University of Arizona, but several other in-state, out-of-state, and international universities. It will also feature two pedagogical workshops, a poster session, and a brand new Projects-in-Progress Symposium.

The SLAT Roundtable is organized by members of SLATSA, the SLAT student association at the University of Arizona. It is supported by contributions from the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching; College of Humanities; College of Education; Center for Educational Resources in Culture, Language and Literacy; Center for English as a Second Language; and the Departments of Russian and Slavic Studies; French and Italian; Linguistics; German Studies; and Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies.
