There is a full-time Italian position opening at San Pedro High School in San Pedro California for Fall 2017 (the semester begins August 14, 2017).  We are on a block schedule of 8 periods, which alternate odd and even periods every other day.  Periods are approximately 85 minutes long.  Teachers teach 6 periods total (3 each day with one conference period). 

 

Right now we have 10 classes of Italian.   One teacher teaches 4 classes of Italian 1 (she also teaches English)

And my position - 1 class of  Italian 1, classes  Italian 2, 1 class of Italian 3 and 1 class of Italian AP  -  Class size ranges from 30 to 40 students per class.

 

We need a dynamic, enthusiastic teacher who will continue to grow the program, take students to cultural events around the LA area, and integrate technology into the program. Knowing Spanish would be a great plus for many of our students are of Latino heritage.
