A Sicilian touch at the Italian Cultural and Community Center of Houston

A Sicilian touch at the Italian
Cultural and Community Center of Houston

-Tiziana Ciacciofera Triolo is a native Italian born and raised in Palermo, who relocated to the USA three years ago, taking with her a lot of experience in management and public relations, although among her most profound passions is the love for Italian culture and traditions. Today, Tiziana lives in Houston, Texas where she works at the Italian Cultural and Community Center as Programs and Marketing Director, a position that allows her to maintain a strong bond with Sicily.

The Italian Cultural & Community Center (ICCC) is a non profit organization with a mission to promote and preserve Italian Culture, Language and Traditions in the state of Texas

The ICCC will soon host an event called: Movie’n Food – Sapore di Cinema, co-organized with Elisabetta Cantone from a Rome-based non profit cultural association Dress in Dreams Movie & Costume. This initiative has already been included among the key events of its category in the ITALY in US.org cultural portal, established by the Embassy of Italy in the United States and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An event characterized by all Italian flavors and aromas, relished by stories of movie stars who reveal the secrets of their success also in cuisine, accompanied by an exhibition featuring photographs taken by the world renowned paparazzo: Rino Barillari. An event prepared with carefully chosen ingredients, sequences captured from the silver screen and movie costumes that will bring the Italian Style overseas. Another characteristic of the project is the specifically designed menu, in honor of great icons like Vittorio De Sica, Luchino Visconti, Federico Fellini, Giuseppe Tornatore, Marcello Mastroianni, Sofia Loren, and the Italian-American flavors of Martin Scorsese with the Little Italy family recipe for ragù. Following the 2014 opening event in Houston, the Movie’n Food adventure will continue in Chicago, New York and San Francisco.
