If you have students or friends who want to learn Italian quickly and efficiently, please inform them of our Intensive Italian summer program, now in its 42^nd year, in the beautiful Renaissance city of Urbino, in the Marche region of central Italy.  It will be held from June 15 to July 31.

Students take one of three courses: Beginning, Intermediate, or Advanced Italian.  Each counts for 8 semester credits and covers the material normally studied in a full year of university study.  Classes meet for three hours per day, with three instructors, one of whom is the Director, Sante Matteo, and the other two are local language instructors with expertise in teaching Italian as a second language.

COURSES

ITL 105 – Intensive Elementary Italian: For beginners with no previous Italian.

ITL 205 – Intensive Intermediate Italian: For students with one year of college-level Italian, two years of high school, or the equivalent.

ITL 305 – Intensive Advanced Italian: Italian language and culture. For students with two years of college-level Italian or the equivalent.

ITL 680 – Independent Study in Italian Language (8 graduate credits), is for college graduates. It includes participation in ITL 105, 205, or 305 plus additional reading in a graduate field of study.

LODGING:  Arrangements include rented rooms in private homes and independent mini-apartments. All rooms are within walking distance of classes. A $250.00 deposit, that you make to the program after your acceptance, is used to reserve your room and serve as a security deposit.

TRANSPORTATION:  Students will arrange for their own transportation to Rome’s Leonardo Da Vinci/Fiumicino Airport (FCO), to arrive Sunday morning, June 15.  The Director will meet the students with a chartered bus to take them to Urbino.
