The Department of French and Italian at Dartmouth invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Visiting Lecturer in Italian for the 2018-19 academic year. The position offers a minimum of five trimester-long courses primarily in language but also including literature. Native or near-native fluency in Italian; Ph.D. in hand or near completion.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant language program committed to excellence in foreign language teaching and learning and will work closely with the Language Program Director in the department. Familiarity with instructional technology and best pedagogical practices expected; service commitment includes active involvement in the organization of co-curricular activities. We are especially interested in applicants with a record of successful teaching and mentoring of students from all backgrounds (including first-generation college students, low-income students, racial and ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ, etc.)
