“We Love Italian” Event Last Night a Resounding Success
The Italian community is aglow after a great event last night that celebrated Italian language and culture with none other than Leonardo da Vinci. Well, in truth, the 563 year old Renaissance man may not have made an appearance, but a remarkable likeness of the great proto-Italian was in attendance: Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, the celebrated thespian, delivered a remarkable performance as Leonardo da Vinci in a 60-minute single act play. An ever widening community of Italians, Italian Americans and Italophiles came together last night to celebrate the success of the We Love Italian campaign, which thanks to the generous donations of supporters, has greatly bolstered Italian language instruction in the Bay Area and American West. -
